This was my reasoning. White Sox are 39-18 at home, Red Sox 27-35 on the road. Beckett and Danks have very similar overall numbers on the season. Beckett 1-2, 4.74 ERA and 1.47 WHIP his last 3. Danks 2-0, 4.34 ERA, 1.23 WHIP his last 3. Numbers in night games are virtually identical. Dotel, Jenks, Thorton all available for White Sox bullpen. White Sox scoring 6.22 runs per game at home off righties, Red Sox scoring 4.23 runs per game on the road vs. Lefties. Only reason I see not to take the White Sox is that Beckett is 4-0 against them in his career while Danks is 0-2 against the Red Sox.

Getting +130 with all that pointing in the WHite Sox direction was too good to pass up.

Despite that they lost, the WSox were still the right play. You can hardly find a fault with them at home. My sympathies go to their fans and all who played them today.
