Baseball BEST BETS 4/29/2006

Brewers +105 - has basically been covered in IMGV's thread entitled Brewers +105.

Blue Jays +1.5 +130 - ML play has value, but I took the 1.5 and odds. The Jays are the best team in baseball right now against LHP. The Yankees are 5-8 against RHP this year, averaging 5.1 rpg, as opposed to 7.5 against LHP.

Orioles +109 - O's kill RHP, Hernandez has struggled. M's struggle with lefties, and their lineup isn't hitting right now.

Royals - Loaiza isn't any good, and the A's are 1-2 against LHP this year, scoring only 3 rpg. KC is awful, but they are better against RHPs than LHPs (0-6 against lefties, 2.5 rpg).

Braves - Glavine 2-9 career against Braves. Atlanta has all their best hitters back (Giles, Renteria, Chipper had been out), and will score enough in this one.

Phillies/Pirates Under 9.5 -106 - Maholm is, IMO, an underrated pitcher, and the Phils are only averaging 3.3 rpg in games against LH starters. The Pirates struggle to score everywhere, averaging only slightly more than 4 rpg.

Blue Jays/Yankees Over - Like I said earlier, the Jays are terrorizing lefties, and the Yankees will score some against Towers.
