    Thursday Value Plays
    I went 1-1 +0.00 Units yesterday. At least I didn't lose.

    2*Cardinals -130
Pros: Lohse has been a stud at home this year, posting a 2.92 ERA. While Clayton Kershaw has been good at home, his road ERA is a whopping 5.82. Despite the Dodger's recent acquisitions, they are still a not so great road team. Take the better offense and starting pitcher.

Cons: The Dodgers are looking to avoid being swept

    Here are some trends:
    # Dodgers are 1-4 in their last 5 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.
    # Dodgers are 0-4 in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
    # Dodgers are 0-4 in their last 4 road games.
    # Dodgers are 0-6 in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning record.
    # Dodgers are 1-4 in Kershaws last 5 starts after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game.
    # Dodgers are 1-4 in Kershaws last 5 starts when their opponent allows 5 runs or more in their previous game.
    # Cardinals are 6-0 in their last 6 vs. National League West.
    # Cardinals are 5-0 in their last 5 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5.
    # Cardinals are 4-0 in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing record.
    # Cardinals are 8-1 in their last 9 vs. a team with a losing record.
    # Cardinals are 4-1 in their last 5 after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game.
    # Cardinals are 5-0 in Lohses last 5 home starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5.
    # Cardinals are 5-0 in Lohses last 5 starts with 5 days of rest.
    # Cardinals are 7-1 in Lohses last 8 starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5.
    # Cardinals are 7-1 in Lohses last 8 home starts.
    # Cardinals are 12-3 in Lohses last 15 starts.
    # Cardinals are 12-3 in Lohses last 15 starts on grass.
    # Cardinals are 4-1 in Lohses last 5 starts during game 3 of a series.
    # Cardinals are 4-1 in Lohses last 5 starts vs. a team with a losing record.

Not sure if I would do the under. Kershaw is a question mark to me. He hasn't faced that many teams yet. He could either pitch well since he has never faced the Cards before or he could give up a lot of runs.

I'm considering taking the Nationals today. Their lineup looks pretty good and Francis is just coming off the DL. What do you all think?

              2*Rockies Game 2 -225
Pros: I never like to lay this much chalk on a team unless I consider the play a lock. In this case, Jimenez has been absolutely dominant and will be starting at home versus a washed up southpaw. The Rockies seem to hit them well and should be successful today.

              Cons: No Todd Helton.

Man, I had the Pirates +200 and the Nats -1.5 (+250) yesterday in a parlay. $20.00 to make $186.00. So far so good. This will be my biggest parlay hit with a 2 teamer and less money spent..

I backed away from the Nats in the first game at the last second because of the uncertainty of their pen. The rockies definitely take game two.

Man, I was gonna play rockies big in game 2 but they switched pitchers on me. I think Perez would handle Jimenez better than Bergman.. I miight still play the Rockies on a -1.5 point spread...

agreed this game looks to be a lock for the rocks with Jimenez, but now im seeing -240 which is just to much for me. Im thinking of parlaying the rockies(-240) with oak(+100) for a combined +183 in a two teamer. Or i might just take the col run line at -110. still unsure

Forget the parlay, im taking col run line -110. Oak has the pitching but no bats. Way to risky. They gotta be due for a win though soon. burnett is 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA in two starts against the a's this season so this could be the night but hes been looking good as of late. Not touching this one

There is no doubt the Rocks will win game 2. I just don't know if the RL will hit. I've been screwed over too many times to take it here. If you need something to parlay that with for today, try Astros -150. Oswalt has dominated the Reds in his career. The only downside is that the Stros are away from home. I'm just going to for the sure thing in Rockies ML.

True. Also, bourne is back in the lineup. Im on this two teamer. Hous (-152) and Col (-265) for a combined +128. Thanks and good luck tonight

I have no idea how the Rockies could lose two to the lowly Nats today. I understand that the Nats have a younger team. But cmon, their pitching is still atrocious. The Rockies should be killing them.
