    Hangover effect
While it's obvious Texas is going to have to clear the cobwebs mentally from last night's epic collapse, I'm also wondering about StL's frame of mind. They (rightfully) celebrated and partied like they won it all. I think the win can be just as emotionally taxing as the loss.

I don't necessarily think StL is a slam dunk tonight. Carp's going on three days rest and their bullpen is just as spent as Texas' -- if not more so. It'll be interesting to see how they react to last night's celebration as much as it will be to see how the Rangers bounce back from the devastation.

Can't agree that there's any equivalence, No. The team dynamics here - all Redbirds. On top of that you have Carpenter, an elite big game ace, pitching at home. 3 days rest or not, I couldn't even consider taking the Rangers tonight at anything under 2:1.

After what the Cards have overcome down the stretch, throughout the post season and especially last night - they are going to be near impossible to beat.

The celebration was over minutes into getting into the dugout. They showered and some were on TV within minutes doing post game coverage. The only thing that carried over is now they are loose and in a good mood.

Texas on the other hand has dwelled on the loss all night and all day. Hell for some they will dwell on it all offseason.

      HUGE ADVANTAGE for STL

Yeah, but it's baseball. The obvious team doesn't always win a series, let alone a single game. You never know. It's up to Harrison, which granted is a risky proposition at best. I still think the TEX bats can get to Carp on short rest. We'll see.

Texas would have to be atleast +200 imo to be worth it!

They were inches away from being World Champs and 5-6 guys plus Washington choked when any ONE of them comes thru and they win. Highly unlikely they win tonite....Cards get atleast 6-7 runs

                There will be no letdown.

The young guys like Freese, Craig, Decalso et al have done their part, but the grownups will be driving tonight. This is Chris Carpenter. This is Berkman - Pujols - Molina - Dave Duncan and La Russa. Stone cold pros.

Texas had their chance(s) to put this away. They spit the bit. There will be no bottom of the 9th in this one.

                    Haha. Wow.

Coming from a guy that posted this

yesterday saying he was going to laugh at Cardinals backers after Texas won

Please explain how Texas is in a great spot.

Let down spot for St. Louis? Are you drunk? They're playing game 7 of the World Series at home. After last night, I bet they can't wait to get out there.

No bottom 9 - no save to blow in this one.

The real hangover will be tomorrow.

Yeah, in douchebag's Cardinals "sux" thread, I told him I was going to ride the Cardinals all the way to the World Series. It seemed to work out well.
