wilson does give up home runs sometimes. carpenter at +115 is pretty enticing.

So does everybody, including Tabby, the neighborhood cat.
Which makes me wonder, is Carp really that much of a lock.

It is not disputable that Carpenter has quality, however his last game and season record (11-9) show that he is beatable. With Rangers playing at home and having a momentum, I will be taking rangers for the game 5.

Carp hasn't had a recorded loss since 8/27, and the cards have only lost twice when he's pitched since 9/2. Seven of his nine losses have come before 6/17. Not saying the Rangers can't get to him, but you can't say he hasn't been consistent. Any time you give a guy like that plus money, you have to give it a strong look.
(3-0)2.25 ERA vs. (0-2)6.06 ERA
I know it's a big public play, which does spook me a little bit. And, I'm not really sure what the books' angle is in putting the plus money on Carp. But, on paper, this looks like the play to me. Anybody have some insight?

you're right, seems that Cards have moved from the +105 opener to anywhere from +106 to as much as +115 at The Orleans. Interesting

Good luck, I suggest rephrasing lock with value play unless you are aiming for the reverse jinx. No way in hell St. Louis is a lock.

The Orleans as in Las Vegas, and every house is moving the ML higher from the opener because "the public" is betting into the Rangers. Offshore and LV. Sportsbook 101
