I just hate LaRussa. Have never liked him.

Duncan is a genius. LaRussa isn't. He was lauded for lifting Carp and pinch-hitting Craig last night -- I would hope every manager in baseball would've done the same thing. That wasn't a groundbreaking move.

id be lying if i didnt say he seriously gets on my nerves more times than not (you already know this). that said he has done a great job in the playoffs and managerial edge is hugely in favor of stl in this series.

yes i would think between the fact Carp didnt exactly have his best stuff, we needed a run, and our pen is fantastic, there wasnt much reason not to have Craig batting in that spot...think the coke heads bad moves will make tony look all the more genius this series..Tex gonna have their hands full at home starting lefties when Craig gets to be in the lineup....

What do you think about tonight? Having a hard time deciding on the side, but I really like the under.

I could've shot Washington for pinch hitting those two losers with two on and one out. Only in baseball could other managers make LaRussa look like the best -- some of the moves made in this sport are utterly baffling. I have to think a football or basketball head coach has to be sitting at home watching MLB games and thinking, "man, these guys are a bunch of **** ups."

i wouldnt play over but if im trusting Garcia to pitch well enough to keep it under then i will go ahead and just take stl @ + whatever i can get before gmtime. not much point in asking me though cause ive either played stl or passed on every game this postseason, what can i say the homer in me is out, luckily it has paid to be a homer thus far

Good news is he can't screw up the bullpen because it is too good

I don't trust Garcia -- even at home.

How do the Ranger bats fare vs. lefties?

Rangers hitters love seeing lefties on the hump.

On the season, Kinsler/Andrus/Cruz/Beltre all hit for better average and power against lefties. Napoli was virtually the same average and power. Hamilton hit for a lower average, but much more power (10 HR's in 146 AB's). Young hit .361 vs Lefties, but had less power.

Garcia pitches well to righties though. I would pretty much take Hamiltons power numbers and throw them in the trash because he is obviously in some pain and from what i saw unable to turn on anything inside, doubt im the only one who noticed as he got quite a bit of inside pitching last night..

Alot of people hating on Hamilton....but I do remember that massive hit in Game 5 off Valverde where he turned on a + inside fastball and shot into the corner for a leadoff 9th inning double, that sparked a Texas win.

Bottom line, Josh will be fine!

im not hating on the guy. all i am saying is what i saw last night and he looked to be in pain when he swung...even if it nothing more than a tight groin that isnt gonna feel any better tonight in another cold gm.

True Enough Dan. He's a professional, hard nosed kid and will figure it out. He's the type of guy that would tell Wash if he felt he was hurting the team being in the game.

                            Goodluck to all tonight.

Dave Duncan is the answer to the original question.

You all know the one, the one where i argued with everyone here that Cards made out like big dogs with that trade mainly cause ive heard several scouts rave but scrabble. i cant find it but think it bout time it got bumped...
