Worst starting World Series pitching since

I can't remember such mediocre (at best) staffs playing to win it all.

LaRussa doesn't trust any of his guys past about the 4th inning sans Carp. Texas just goes to their pen out of necessity -- how many quality starts do they have in the playoffs so far? 1? 2?

After tonight, you've got Garcia vs. Lewis (Garcia's typically good at home but still pretty erratic overall and Lewis implodes his fair share), Harrison vs. Lohse (might be about 20 runs scored in that one), Jackson vs. Holland (same) --

Usually at least one team has a very solid group of starters. I can't remember the last time we had two squads square off with so much shaky ground in both dugouts.
