thoughts on intentional walks

example florida did it today in 7th

by walking D ward 2 HR 9 RBI all season

only to have fontenot hit a double so 3 scored

I don't like this call coaches seem to make all to often

why give the other team a base runner for free

i know to have a forced runner out but I still don't like it.

Depends on the batters... Wouldn't walked one with only 2 HR's and 9 RBI's all season...
Also with runners on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 or 0 out it might be a good thing to do, but again it depends on the batter..
