#2ok guys, tomorrow the pirates look like they might just be worth a shot.
the astros are -110 over zack duke and the pirates tomorrow. this game almost looks like a trap don't it. something here don't look right at all. so, what i did was checked out the series price on this game, and noticed that the astros are only -140 in the series.
[QUOTE]
Pittsburgh Pirates +120
Houston Astros -140
with a line like this one. the books are clearly telling you that the pirates are the right side of tomorrows game.Comment -

#8My three plays are:
Twins +108
Twins 7-0 in Santana's last 7 starts vs. Chicago (Chisox only scored 9 total runs in those games). Chisox 2-5 in Buerhle's last 7 starts vs. Twins (Twins scored 35 runs in those games).
Brewers -126
I said before the season that I was going to fade Sheets in his first start (I unfortunately didn't), and then play him in his next couple. I think the price is right for the Brewers to get their bounce-back win here.
Nationals +1.5 -160
Wait until you see the Braves lineup tomorrow. They are without Giles, Chipper, and Renteria. They face one of the best young pitchers in baseball in Patterson. Nationals ML might be a solid play, but this one is better. With a total that low, and facing a team that likely won't score more than 3 runs, I'd rather lay the juice and take the 1.5 runs.Comment -

#10Fellas, I think the Giants and Schmidt beat the Rockies tomorrow. Schmidt has yet to pitch to his potential and Jennings has pitched over his head in the first three starts. I actually think Jennings will get rocked tomorrow, the Giants run line might be a good bet as well. JMHO
You also have to remember that this is a young team that really wants to win and has the talent to do that, but is not quite sure how to win consistently yet. Todd Helton is the only Rockies starter that has played on a team which finished above .500 in a season. I don't even think that anyone in the starting rotation has played on an above .500 team. However, when they figure IT out, look out!Last edited by PhilRizzo; 04-21-06, 01:17 AM.Comment -

Revenge series.
The only Cub to have hit a homerun off of Mulder (11-for-15, no less) is Lee. Too bad he's not in the lineup.
Balls have been flying out of the new park, so ground balls are important. GB:FB ratio over L10: 1.15 for Williams, 4.49 for Mulder.
Runs/9 on the road for the Cubs: 6.97 vs. Righties, 3.18 vs. Lefties.
OBP on the road for the Cubs: .341 vs. Righties, .267 vs. Lefties.
Just my thoughts.Comment -
