Meh......I wouldnt buy into that. Wet surface, can mean for more sloppy plays, and less control from the pitchers.

also more mistakes by outfielders who cant run as well or throw a wet/damp ball....causing errors which equal runs.

Actually, its the opposite. Rain delays result in more runs because tbe starters get knocked out and managers are forced to go with their bullpens for extended periods. Rain delays help overs and hurt unders. Why would you think the opposite?

Does any one have stats to back up any over or under trends? The starters should be OK in this one when it starts. The umpires also like to get out of the rain and there strikezones can get bigger.
