Around noon Leyland said he didn't know whether either Vmart or D Young would be in the starting lineup. if not looks like that would leave Det with options of Betemit Worth or Santos for DH. OMG. Dirks is a LH so you would think they'd rather not use him vs. Harrison but who knows.

          Poor Leyland!

Martinez, Young and Beltre are all starting today. How effective they'll be is another question. I am leaning on the under.

Rotowire is one of the most up to date and accurate sources out there, and I have a paid sub with them:

                Adrian Beltre (3B) TEX 10/12/2011
Beltre, who fouled a ball of his left knee early in Tuesday's game, will be in the lineup for Game 3 Wednesday, ESPN Dallas reports. Beltre underwent x-rays following the game that showed no fracture and he was diagnosed with a contusion. He has a history of playing through injury, so it's no surprise that he is in the lineup as Texas looks to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

                Victor Martinez (C) DET 10/12/2011
Martinez (side/intercostal) is in the lineup for Wednesday's Game 4 of the ALCS, batting fourth. He strained himself in the Game 3 win, but the Tigers really don't have time to let their day-to-day guys rest, so they'll start both Martinez and Delmon Young for Wednesday's matinee and hope there's no aggravation for either player's injury.

                Delmon Young (OF) DET 10/12/2011
Young (rib cage) is in the lineup for Wednesday's Game 4 of the ALCS, batting fifth. Young missed Tuesday's game, but he'll gut it out while getting to hit against a lefty in Matt Harrison. He's clearly not 100 percent, but the Tigers are trying to get the most out of their best players in a game they really can't afford to lose, as the injured Victor Martinez is also in the lineup at DH.

Im going to hold off on Texas for a while longer, as the entry of Young and Martinez in the starting lineup should obtain some more Tiger money!

It probably will, but it shouldnt. Martinez and Young both looked like 70 year old men the last time they were in there with these injuries.

I say you get it. I have Texas ML this afternoon as they take a 3-1 lead on their way to the World Series.

I totally agree with you that it probably will, but shouldn't. This is a very desperate move by Leyland, and shows you just how little confidence he has in the likes of Dirks, Betemit, Worth, etc..
