Utley was trying to make something happen, at least he got his ass on base dumbnut... took a perfect throw and tag to get him too. so the steal "just wasn't in the cards"

he also missed tying it in the 9th by a foot, he crushed it but just to the wrong part of the field.

Utley, Victorino, Rollins, Ruiz and Halladay was the only Philly starters who gave significant effort. The entire Cards team gave their all = Cards beat the Phillies. My hats are off to the St. Louis Cardinals.
