I am catching hell on earth from my wife, I just told her about this bet thinking that she would be happy that I am probably about to be done with betting. Instead, she screams and asks me how I could put $1200 + dollars on a sucker bet (she knows how bad of a bet this is). I told her what I am about to tell you guys who can't believe this:

I am at a point in my life where I no longer feel it is worth my time to cap, watch and sweat games on a $1K bankroll. I want to do more important things with my time. I make about $89K a year in my job, the time commitement here is not worth it relative to that. Therefore, this bet was a calcualted decision that will take me down one of two paths: 1. I start focusing on new things, or 2. I inherit a $12K + bankroll and capping/betting/watching becomes worth my time. This is truly the decision of a man who is happy with either result.

Also, in June I already cashed out all the money I put into baseball this year, plus some. This bet for me is a life experience that I want to have on "house money".
