    Jays@Orioles
I like this game as it's a interesting one and it should be a close one too... BUT, a realy interesting stat: The O's is awfull in game 3 of a series, posting a 8-20 record while the Jays have an ok 18-12. Also, the O's won game 1 where their 22-11 while the Jays are only 12-21.. Is it that the O's get figured out after a game and the opposite team find a easy way to get the hitters off balance??
I won't talk about the pitching matchup in this one as it's so damn close and the pitcher with the good day gonna win, not the one with most quality...(thats my meaning anyway..)
The O's are outhitting the Jays in their L10 with a .241 batting avg and 5.20 R/9 against Jays .226 avg and 4.04 R/9.
The Jays got the pest pen lately with a 2.08 ERA in their L3 against the O's 5.33 ERA
Burnett is 6-1 against the O's with an ERA of 5.26 and a WHIP of 1.358. Guthrie 1-0 against the Jays with an ERA of 2.65 and a WHIP of 0.882 so he got a edge there.

    For the Jays:
    # Jays are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings
    # Jays are 5-1 in Burnetts last 6 starts vs. Orioles
    # Jays are 4-0 in Burnetts last 4 starts after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game
    # Jays are 4-1 in Burnetts last 5 starts vs. a team with a losing record
    # Orioles are 2-8 in their last 10 vs. American League East.
    # Orioles are 3-14 in Guthries last 17 starts during game 3 of a series

    For the O's:
    # Orioles are 4-0 in Guthries last 4 home starts
    # Orioles are 4-1 in Guthries last 5 starts when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game
    # Jays are 1-4 in their last 5 road games vs. a right-handed starter
    # Jays are 0-5 in Burnetts last 5 road starts

My lean are on the Jays in this one caus of a feeling I got and the O's record in game 3 of a series, but most of the stats are against the Jays...

    What are people on here??

I'm letting it ride on the OVER at 8.5 again. This series has been an OVER lover's paradise! Burnett has been walloped twie by the O's this season - although he pitches better on the road - 4 of 5 Guthrie starts vs. TOR dating back to last season would go OVER tonight's #. Grip it & rip it! Might be too simple a formula, but stats tell me what to do. 9/10 OVER in this series in '08.

Yeah, this should be a close one, but im impressed by Burnett today... He got some probs. with the K zone one in a while, but he's been great with his curve..

toronto can't seem to get over that hump to open the game up and baltimore is not a team to leave around without capitalizing when opportunity presents itself
