On it. Line will probably drop when Red Sox fans stop mourning

CC rebounded from a rough August with a solid September but with the way the Tigers are swinging the bats right now you gotta like them with their ace on the mound.

If you are gone bet the Tigers take them in game two because you will get more dog value in game two. If you are gone bet the Yanks take them game one because game two will have more juice.

But the Tigers have the best pitcher in baseball in Game 1, and getting +118 on him is actually better value than getting +200 on any other Detroit pitcher vs. Yankees.

Told you Tigers would be ok NC. Glad to see your changing your tune on them a little bit. They will win 1 of the first 2 and I honestly think they could take both. Guess will see. GL

Check Fister's stats since the trade.
He's a beast.

I'm not drinking the kool-aid just yet, but I think they have a better-than-average chance.

Yanks will the game and the series. It might take 5 games but det will not be able to outhit hew york. CC and Verlander are tradeoffs. THe rest of the starters presents no serious adv to either team . I am firmly convinced det blew there load.

Verlander may lose tomorrow, but I would be hard pressed to believe that Verlander and tigers lose game 5, because you may think that Verlander and Sabathia are tradeoffs but I can't agree with you there and I am shocked that anyone would say that JV is a tradeoff with anyone when he has CLEARLY established himself as the best starter in the majors. Det bats may go cold. I can level with you there. Yanks may win 3-2, 4-3 tomorrow, and Id say the line is appropriate, but slow down and give the man his due. He created magic this year, and his level of competitiveness is second to NONE. Period.

NO. I rode the giants all the way to the world series. I made huge bank on them.

Verlander is awesome but in a 1 game situation CC is as good as anyone.

I think he's referring to the tear they went on late in the season. They put up a ton of runs. Obviously they could very well carry that into the postseason but i think lakerboy thinks the bats will go quiet.

Any other year you would be right, they would be 50/50. Not this year tho. No way, no how. Couldn't disagree with you more. But I do respect you a lot and have learned from your capping this year, and I always read and enjoy your writeups. Keep up the good work, and good luck this fall!

Because the Giants went on a similar tear win-wise in September and it carried right into the postseason.
Granted it was more with their pitching than their hitting, but I heard a lot of "Giants blew their load" comments before the playoffs started last year too and they just kept on winning.

You should check this fact in about 4 games. Tigers will be swept by the Yankees.

Money is coming in on Detroit and the line has moved up to +121. You think you're the only one saying "Detroit is on a roll and Verlander is pitching, plus money is a steal!"?

Verlander is a solid pick as an underdog. Detriot's lineup is underrated too. I watched them smash the Indians. Cabera and V-Mart could lead this team out of the AL

Public will pound the NYY RL. Guaranteed.
Not sure about ML, though you're probably right that they'll be on the Detroit ML.
Verlander has decent numbers career vs. NYY -- better than CC vs. the Tigers.
