just got a hit. average .337. they are taking him out of the game though, to preserve hit average. i backed the mets today though. i'm a little pissed.

I hope Braun win the batting title. What a shitty move by the Mets and Reyes. People pay to see him play and they do that crap.

Sep 28: Reyes was lifted from Wednesday's season finale after dropping down a bunt single in the first inning, Andy Martino of the New York Daily News reports. No injury has been reported, as it seems the Mets just opted to give their star shortstop a day off after his first at-bat.

Mets opted to make sure Reyes wins Batting Title!

Reds did the same thing last night when Phillips got a hit to get to 300..of course it almost cost them a win when they ran out of hitters and had to put Dontrelle in with the bases loaded.

whats unfair about it?? He still had a phenominal season to be batting .337 coming into the game. Not to mention he's on an 8 game hitting streak and 13 for his last 30. Big fukkin deal. Mets have never had a player win a batting title. They want it bad.

it's just a shame he wont be a met next year. Wonder how many times in history a player won the batting title then left the team next season?

Because some GM somewhere will offer him 7 years 140 mil, Mets wont go 7 years, and rightfully so. He's an injury waiting to happen
