Mark is an odd dude. Baseball has never been a real big priority for him. I'm not just saying that cuz of how the season is going. I think he just kinda suffers through a season so he can go hunt and/or fish in the off season which he really cares more about. I don't think he's one of these all focused athletes that's all about his game and image. The sport, the competition, nor the money means much to him. The only thing he might like to do is wear a Cardinals jersey for a while since he's from that area.

As I've said before.....he's a player that pitches to contact on a team that isn't good enough defensively for a man of his talents (esp in the outfield). In baseball today you have to practically shoot someone and eat their brains on the field to get an error for a misplay. The WSox are constantly giving teams extra outs an inning. I didn't see any of last nights game and he prolly got rocked (AND there's a good chance he didn't give a shit), but he's a guy that's gonna eat up innings for a team.

The WSox have a very loaded payroll next year. I think he's up now or very soon and they won't have the dollars. Good chance he goes elsewhere.
