It has to be a losing record with guys like Penny, and Porcello pitching.

    Anyone have the stats?

I'm trying to find out more on this dude pitching for the White Sox today.

Line indicates they might be a play.

This might be the one day Alex Rios proves to be anything other than worthless. He owns Penny.

      Then again, who doesn't?

Penny won his last start following a Verlander win and the Tigers one again on Sept 3rd following his start.

I didn't look back any further because this statement is obviously wrong

Really? I am asking others b/c I do not have access to the stats.

But I do believe you. There are some intangibles that go along with them losing. One factor is that there is a letdown after playing hard for a Verlander start. They feel as though they can not lose when Verlander plays, and play all out. The next day I do not feel they would give the same effort.

I came up with 14 - 16 record the game after Verlander starts. May have missed a start a two as I glanced through the season in about 2 minutes.

Gone for the over in this one.

Penny is always susceptible to giving up a bucketload of runs quickly. Also, Tiger bats have been running hot recently, especially against the White Sox. Can't see them slowing down too much against a pitcher making his first big league start, no matter how impressive his minor league numbers are.

I don't think they want to get swept. Also they have De Aza and Dayan Viciedo (a name to watch, led AAA in HRs) playing today who have been hot. Brent Morel has been hitting about .300 in September. I didn't play it, but I could see the Sox winning this one.

Changes will very likely be coming to the South Side. This could be Ozzie's final games with the Sox, and/or Kenny Williams will be given a different position to allow Rick Hahn to take over at GM. Those two brought a World Series to Chicago, but its time for a change.

Penny just made a big mistake and gave a cookie to Alexei Ramirez (underrated) drove in 2, Konerko (who deserves to be in the MVP discussion) drives in another 2 in the next bat.

I really like this play and can get it at +4.5 -110 right now on Bodog. Think I will sleep on it until tomorrow and see what line does though. GL
