Is Brewers the play today against Volquez?
    Someone wrote:

"This might be reality check time for Edinson Volquez as the innings begin to mount. The 110 innings he has thrown is more than he has thrown in the big leagues for his career and is rapidly approaching his minor-league high of 120. He has also been lasting less, as he completed six innings or more in 12 of 13 starts, but reached the six-inning mark just once in his last three. Seth McClung was converted from the pen to a starter, and has allowed two runs or less in seven of his nine starts. The Brewers are 23-10 in their last 33 at home, and this is a valued price against a Cincinnati team that has not been good on the road, with a pitcher showing signs of slowing down and pitching off of past value."

I like the Brewers a bit, but the pen is awfull... Maby Brewers FF??

credit jeff scott sports for the writeup

MILWAUKEE +106 over Cincinnati: The Reds are 4-12 in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 6-14 in their last 20 road games vs. a right-handed starter, while the Brewers are 6-0 in their last 6 games as a home underdog and 11-5 in their last 16 vs. a team with a losing record, plus the Home team is 7-1 in Reillys last 8 games behind home plate vs. Milwaukee. Edinson Volquez has had the ERA lead in the league for much of the year but has has been slumping a bit lately. Edinson comes in with a 1-1 mark and a 6.32 ERA in his last 3 starts and in his last road start he allowed 5 ER in just 4.1 innings of work to Toronto. In his last 3 starts he has given up 18 hits and 9 walks, while striking out just 6 in 15.1 innings of work. He is starting to fade a bit. Now he must take on an angry Milwaukee squad that hasn't lost 2 in a row at home in over a month and one that scores 5 rpg at home and in their last 7 games overall they have put up 6 rpg. The Reds offense has struggled away from home going 19-30, while scoring just 4.3 rpg, plus they only hit .238 and score 4 rpg vs righty starters, including scoring just 3.5 rpg in their last 20 road games vs righty starters.Seth McClung has not had a great year going 4-3 with a 4.41 ERA in his overall starts, but he has been pitching very well at home lately, going 3-1 with a 2.70 ERA in his last 4 home starts. The Brewers are a very good home team and they simply don't lose two in a row there these days. I look for them to get to a fading Volquez early and hold on for a nice bounceback win.

    i like the +1.5 runline (-165)

did get burned by the brewers against fogg last nite

Great way to start the game. McClung just served up a 3-run jack to Dunn.

Yeah I know But the Brewers should manage to come back as Volquez is overrated compared to how he pitches right now
