+220 underdogs with Livan on the mound. This is definitely worth taking. I know Beckett's a good pitcher, but the Twins have been coming close to winning these past few games.

The Twins RL is already around +100. Even if the Twins don't win this, it's not likely they'll lose by more than a run. The best time to play the Twins will be close to game time. By then the Twins ML may be around +250. I think the sportsbooks want to distribute some money on Wednesday to those who know how to get it.Comment -

All things considered, the Red Sox ML is simply outrageous and out of touch with reality. After 2 narrow defeats, I think the Twins will stage a coup against Beckett and steal this one to the admiration and benefit of those of us who'll get huge rewards for playing the Twins (ML or RL). Livan Hernandez is one of the weakest pitchers in MLB right now. He is pitching in the wrong league and his stuff is horrible. He has an ERA of 5.18 and that balloons up to 7.00 on the road. Almost less than half his starts are what are considered quality starts and that number goes down considerably on the road. The league is batting like .300 against him this year. He's getting lit up every game he pitches almost but fortunately his team scores a lot of runs for him. This is a series that MINN gets swept in dude. The price is not outrageous at all. It is a fair price given the pitching matchup, homefield, and current form of both teams.

A lot of bettors just look at value when it comes to baseball without paying to key stats. Boston is going to beat up someone bad and win on the runline. ITs a bad matchup for Hernandez. Boston will find their offense during this day game and may end up blowing out the twins. I would stay from the runline in this game. Instead I like the Over 9.5 runs (+100). Good reason to take the over: Beckett's era at home was 9-5 at home with a 4.17era and 11-2 with a 2.18 era in 2007. Beckett is 4-1 at home with a 4.32 era. The twins will score a few runs in this game but the majority of the runs will be scored by the redsox. Livan Hernandez does not gave good numbers against current redsox players. He is 1-2, era of 9.00, 2.36 whip (26 hits, 7 walks in only 14 innings). Livan's day stats for 2008 are dismal as he is 2-1 with 6.95 era, 1.77 whip (35 hits, 4 walks in only 22 innings). Opponents are batting .385 in his 4 day starts. THe Redsox are going to break out and have a Boston tea party at the expense of Livan Hernandez.

anything can happen in the game of baseball. Maybe livan does get rocked , or gives up line drive outs, or gets a lot of DP's , who knows thats baseball. Not every game can the red sox score over 6, if that were the case we would bet them a lot more. Their offense isn't close as good as what it should be. I'm not saying who is right just saying anything can happen, so why not go out on a limb and bet on a team with a lot of value.Comment -
