How often do teams go on a 5/6/7+ winning streak? Or losing for that matter.

Thinking about chasing a few teams with winning/ losing streaks. Can anyone shed any light on this?

    examples:

CWS - 5 game winning streak
    ARI- 8 Game winning streak
    SD- 6 Game losing streak.

Chase CWS and ARI to lose, and SD to win?

I do this sometimes but I do it with the really good teams mostly, not the bad ones.

The White Sox have been winning a lot because of new blood in the line up, namely the middle of the lineup. Alejandro De Aza and Dayan Viciedo have provided an offensive spark and along with Tyler Flowers they have been racking up the runs. Today, De Aza is not in the lineup and the Sox are going for their second straight sweep of a team. I think you should ride this train until it comes to a stop.

Today they're facing a 0-2 5 ERA pitcher, and even though De Aza is not in the lineup, the old timers like Pierre and Konerko have not been hitting as well as they have all season. That's bound to turn around. I like the Sox and the over in this game...
