    Tuesday Value Plays
After what looked like a very promising day with an early Royals win, I dropped the last 2 to go 1-2 -0.15 units on the day.

    White Sox -125
Pros: Contreras has been great this season. Kyle Davies is starting to come back to earth after that unusual start. Take the better offense, starting pitcher, and bullpen for a good price.

    Cons: none.

    Tigers RL +105
Pros: Sowers is terrible. He was crushed the last time he came to Detroit and will get crushed again. The Tigers feast on lefties. And Verlander is solid at home. And the bullpen will not be an issue here since the Indians have an even worse bullpen.

    Cons: none.

    Mets -115
Pros: How often do you get a playoff caliber team at home for such great odds? Tiny Tim Lincecum has been awesome this year and he may very well be awesome tonight. But I do not envision him beating the Mets at home. The Mets have been swinging the bat well of late and are sending a very dominant pitcher in Mike Pelfrey to the mound. While Pelfrey started off a little slow, he has been phenomenal in June and July. While Lincecum may give up between zero and three runs, the Giants will certainly have trouble scoring on Pelfrey. And when the Giants are forced to go to their bullpen, the Mets will clearly win this game. Take the better offense and bullpen here.

Cons: Lincecum is 7-0 on the road this year.

Completely disagree with the Mets pick. Pelfrey isn't any good. While his ERA may be down over those starts, he continues to have problems with his command, giving up a lot of walks. His WHIP over the last 3 starts is still at 1.585. That is a telling sign. Meanwhile, Lincecum has been even more impressive on the road than at home and the Giant lineup always seems to give him some decent run support. I'm on the Giants but do agree with the White Sox play. The Tigers were a no play for me. If they can't hit Rowland-Smith at this point, I'm not confident in them beating up on Sowers or the Indians.

Making the Mets/Giants a no play.... but I do like Pelfrey in this spot he is starting to find his rhythm winning he last 4 starts.
Rangers 1st 5 +110 is my pod, I've followed Matt Harrison being he is from Durham, NC nearly 20min from my hometown Mebane, NC. He puts in work and he is going to have to making his MLB debut against the Angels.

You said it all but this one is a toss-up. If I were to pick, I'd go with the better numbers - Lincecum and the Giants on the road.

It's 3-0 Mets. I guess Lincecum isn't as untouchable as you all thought.
