I don't know, maybe it is the fact that Shields and Garza are good pitchers on a team that has the best record in baseball and one of the hottest teams in baseball, at home playing the Royals who aren't good. Maybe that is the reason. Tampa smashed them yesterday and Garza has only given up 1 run in his last 2 starts in 16 innings of work and the guy is 5-1 at home.

Got em at -184. If you stick strictly to pitching both have a horrible record vs the other team however, Garza is pitching well for a team that is much better. Also, during his 0-3 record vs KC he only gave up 3 runs while striking out 19 in 19 innings. More, he is pitching at home. TB crushes at home 33-16, KC is poor on the road 20-29.

So I think the line has moved for multiple factors not just Garza vs Meche. More, Meche pitches poorly vs TB 1-4 giving up more ER with less K's. Not telling anyone to take them this high!
