But seriously - you could have had a crystal ball that was covered in black paint and let Stevie Wonder look into and he would have seen it as well. they were fortunate to even be in contention a month ago. Can't discount the injuries though- they did factor in. Getting Jimenez is not going to help them even next year. I think he needs to be in the N.L to be dominate.

Man. I could have predicted no love too. It isn't like they hadn't just taken 2 of 3 from Detroit or anything and were heading into detroit with 2 of their 3 best pitchers going....not to mention a four game series with Seattle after that...

Right- the worse fall I can remember was the 1997 World series against Florida. Mesa not completing a save for a World Championship, but at least they were in the game.

Hated the Jimenez trade. Hated the fukodome trade. I like the Thome trade if only because Cleveland is where he belongs. I really felt like at the trade deadline the Indians management was just throwing shot against the wall to see what would stick. Jimenez in my mind has had one good half of a season and being that it was in the national league I really wasn't impresses. Although pitching at foods field is probably not the easiest thing.

I just felt like they gave up too much in both trades. Hopefully he comes around but I am not betting on him to make a difference.
