I love all those plays except oakland...buy your wife a trip to hawaii with your winnings and maybe she won't make you quit. That's what I did when I started full time sports investing and my wife fully supports my efforts and will even help research weather and other small things. The key is to make her part of it in some way and keep her informed of how you are doing so she doesn't feel like it's your dirty secret. Plus, that will help keep you disciplined. Good luck!

I've been gambling since i was 18 and am now 35. played poker for a living for a few years.
Gambling has taken over my life, need to focus on others things. I am obsessed with sports betting and it's no good.

My out look on betting is it's only bad when your losing. I know I didn't coin that phrase ,but believe it 100%. Really what is better for a sports fan than to be able to profit from what they love the most? Do your work or follow someone that does and it's all good.

Why quit? Just make gambling your hobby instead of an obsession. Bet 10 bucks per game instead of 100. This way, you can still be in touch with what you love the most without risking you will lose the person you "should" love the most Or do you think you can´t enjoy betting only small amounts?

Been sports betting for 2 years or so, lost maybe 10k.
Lifetime winner gambling because of poker.

My girlfriend doesn't like it when I bet, but don't let your life revolve around it. Don't sit there watching ESPN scoreboard, be productive. Ive wasted hours looking at my phone or laptop to see if anyone is on base, etc. But Ive limited it a lot. I made a good amount this year for myself, all on my own plays. I stopped because before playoffs it gets crazy.. my girlfriend is much more comfortable with it though. More that she used to be.

Just manage it well and don't spend so much time on it. Like someone said, make it a hobby, not an obsession. And communicate with your wife, shell love that when she's a part of it.
