But hey if the starting pitcher doesn't have it take him out. Rest his arm and give your team a chance to win the game. I agree with Giradi but I think Girardi and AJ both understand each other. The pitcher never wants to come out of a ball game you literally have to pry the ball out of a pitchers hand to get him to come out. A pitcher should never want to come out of a ball game. Looking back on this I"m sure AJ will tell you that he just didn't have it that night.
