Over 9 looks like a good number. Both Pavano & Penny will give up 4 tonight. I was liking the 1st 5 innings O/ a bit ,but 5 isn't worth a play. I also like a 1st inning prop 0/ 3 runs,hits,errors.

Dear lord have you ever seen a more poorly managed team than the Tigers right now? What is Jim Leyland thinking with his "situational" benching of Betemit when he's a .300 hitter! And in favor of nobodies like Santiago and Kelly? He let Verlander go out to pitch the 8th inning of a 7-1 game only to announce he's giving him an extra day's rest and taking him out of this weekend's series against the Indians!

And at this point you pretty much have to give up on pitching to Jim Thome. That guy's got more homers vs. the Tigers than any other team. I'm telling you this team can't beat AL Central teams in August and September with Leyland as manager.
