#12absolutely terrible play
the red sox are vastly superior on offense, bullpen and even the starting pitcher matchup is extremely lopsided. Lester is a hell of a lot better than that clown Nick Blackburn
what makes you want to play a team on a nasty losing streak against the best team in the AL with the best road record in the majors anyways??? there are wayyyyyy better plays on the boardComment -

The only time you expect the unexpected is during a sports game? theres no logic in sports whatsoever thats why I suck at it, you cant predict the unpredictable....thats why I am thoroughly impressed when someone says "i'm good at sports betting"....cuz its the hardest thing ever.Comment -

#18Let's be honest here, I'm not retarded, and I'm actually suggesting that you bet against the 72-43 red sox? thats the dumbest idea ever, but it'll work more often than +183 says it will. i DONT THINK THE tWINS are gonna win at all, because I dont know whos going to win.... if i knew, I wouldnt post about it here at sbr.Comment -

there's nothing difficult about betting. You gotta find matchups where the expected outcome is different than the line set by vegas and maximize on that difference
my record since I started gambling on baseball (just a week and a half ago)
7/30/11 Brewers - 1.5 - WIN
7/31/11 Yankees - 1.5 - WIN
7/31/11 Brewers/Cards ML parlay - LOSS
8/1/11 Yankees - 185 - WIN
8/2/11 Red sox - 1.5 - LOSS
8/3/11 Yankees - 118 - WIN
8/3/11 Phillies - 1.5 - WIN
8/4/11 Yankees - 120 - WIN
8/5/11 Angels - 250 - WIN
8/6/11 CHI/CIN U 7.5 - LOSS
8/6/11 Twins + 105 for series - LOSS
8/6/11 Detroit - 189 - WIN
8/7/11 Padres - 124 - WIN
8/7/11 Red Sox - 167 - WIN
8/8/11 Arizona - 180 - LOSS
8/9/11 Rangers - 190 - WIN
8/9/11 Red sox for Series - 155 - WIN
That's a 12-5 record there, some decent size favorites there but that's still a terrific record with all things being considered (especially being my first 2 weeks of gambling in baseball ever)Comment -

realistically speaking, twins have maybe a 15-20% chance of winning this game
they are massively outmatched on offense, starting pitching matchup and bullpen. On top of that, they are playing with zero confidence right now against the best team in the AL playing with all the confidence in the worldComment -

Just by your record I see that you're not betting like I bet. When you only have $50 on a sportsbook account and make an all-in decision, there's a 90% chance yur gonna do something REALLY dumb (alternate line, run line, first 5), much less win, and if you do win, you'll lose it later on cuz yur making decisions based on nothing. Thats why I never win, because I am never in the right frame of mind while betting.... the smart thing to do , and the only way to beat sports betting long term.... is to bet no more than 4% of your roll on a game, NO PARLAYS... boom, a winner, but its not that easy to do ive tried it, it gets really boring really fast, what they call, a grind. so you start looking for action, and you find it pretty quick, but it gets out of hand even quicker.Comment -

I actually bet about 20% of my bankroll on every game, sometimes even more
I'm just so confident that I'm gonna win a huge percentage of my bets that I have no problem doing that

Whatever works I guess, but to me, if you're beating MLB with ease? try it again next year, and if you still beat it, try it one more year, guarantee you'll bust in that 3 year span. GUARANTEE ITComment -
