Minnesota Twins +102 over Boston Red Sox (with write up)
Liking the home underdog Twins in this spot tonight, and here's why.

    1) I like (usually) home underdogs.

    2) I like the match up Baker over Wakefield
Wake is one of Boston's weakest link in the rotation sporting an ugly earned run average of 5 and a poor WH/IP ratio of 1.30

Baker is an "I get no respect starter" with extremely solid numbers.
3 earned run average, sparkling WH/IP ratio of 1.18, an equally sparkling K ratio (117 K's on the season) while pitching against very potent line ups so far this year.
    Like Texas, NYY and Boston.
Baker shutdown the Red Sox potent line up on 5/6 going 8 full, giving up 7 hits striking out 8 yielding 2 runs, winning that start.

    3) The line up just posted hits Wake.

    Span CF
    Plouffe 2B
    Mauer C
    Cuddyer 1B
    Kubel RF
    Thome DH
    Valencia 3B
    Young LF
    Tolbert SS

Span is the 'x' factor here on top.
Hits .400 against Wake, gets on with speed.

Plouffe (who I like) is an up and comer, hits behind Span tonight, likes the junk pitchers, only has two at bats v. Wake, but is 2 for 2 and took him deep once, there's a reason why Gardy has Span/Plouffe 1-2, I like it, and agree, which brings us to Mr. Mauer.

Mauer's stick is heating up nice right now.
He hits over .350 off of Wakefield, has taken him over the fence as well.

Cuddyer has been raking all season .298 18-60 is rock solid, and can hit the butterfly pitch as well.

Kubel has been hitting .300 + all season

    4) Boston is only .267 off of Baker, Craw and Ells hits him some, not the rest of the lineup.

    5) Sometimes, and tonight is one of those times, I believe in the let down theory.

Red Sox spent a lot of emotional and physical energy this weekend against NYY.
They ended last night at 12:30 am, had to fly to Minny.

Sox have to face a very tough Baker, againtst a Twin team that can jack, and a Twin team at home would love to stick it to Boston.

Like the Twins a lot in this spot tonight.

    Minny +102 3*

Nice writeup. This is my big play tonight too. Just gotta hope Wake doesn't have his perfect stuff he has a few times a season with that knuckle. Good luck.

lean this way as well but just hard to take at this price. feel like if im gonna fade the best team in baseball with a ice cold team with granted a nice pitching edge i need a little more incentive (plus money). hope everyone hits this bitch as i agree with min being the right side but i gotta sit this one out......GL stevie

I agree with Dan, obvious pitching edge tonight, Wakefield going for career win #200 and I think the Red Sox will get up for this game getting their old vet his 200th win...still if you wanna back the Twins feel like you need more + Money

Why is a 1.30 WHIP poor, but 1.18 sparkling?

Very compelling argument. This is one of those games I just know I will be kicking myself for not having played. Just can't seem to pull the trigger.......hope you cash it.

Reminds me of the Balt-Red Sox game from a few weeks ago when we heard that the Sox would be tired after that extra innings game against the Rays.

1.3 is between poor and adequate, maybe poor was a little harsh.

                        1.18 is above league average.
