I think getting the Yankees or the hot public team early is almost always a good idea and creates options.

Making a play solely for scalping purposes is a whole 'nother area. Interesting to try handicapping what the public will do (as opposed to the teams). We all do it to some extent based on gut feel, but I'll bet you (and I do mean you bro) could pick winners. I'm pretty spotty at that.

As somebody (Mudcat?) said on the main board, there's at least some money to be made, but it's a sh*tload of work -- you're not just a handicapper, but a babysitter, too, sitting there waiting for the line to take a dump so you can swoop in and clean it up.

the stats say harden is a better pitcher, but was away with injuries, while mussina is getting old. edge to oakland.
