The A's are the better team, have a better approach at the plate, will make Lincecum throw strikes with his change up and curve. Giants have had trouble scoring against the A's in all 4 games so far...Comment -
Hardly a kid, but Duchscher is a solid pitcher. That said, I would proceed with caution going foward with him. He is no longer flying under the radar in the marketplace like he was earlier in the season where you would find him consistently trading at 20 cents off (what I deemed) fair value. He has had a history of tailing off late in the season. Being the a relief pitcher, his arm has yet proven to handle a workload of innings, and is already approaching a career high in innings pitched (he has already surpassed the amount of innings pitched in the last two years combined).
Lincecum has tailed off since that start in the humid heat in Washington where he lost 10 pounds in his start ( a lot of weight for a pitcher tipping the scales at 165 to begin with). That said, one could make a case that his Tigers start was much better than the numbers would indicate (2 bad pitches to one hitter in the entire game). One could also make a case that he lost concentration working with a unacustomed big league in his Royals start. Whatever the reason, his valuation is a bit more risky now that a month or so ago.
I would need somewhat of a larger margin of safety in this game compared to most. Pricing this game at A's -119/Giants +119, it appears that the line is efficiently set.

Yeah that bunt was BAAAAD! Can't bet against Lincecum though, especially @ +125. No matter how bad the Giants offense is, they have been scoring for Lincecum all year. Great pitcher's duel though, Deush was dirty as well!!! Congrats to any other Giants backers, though i know there wasn't many...
