Gut Feeling On Cubs A-RL

I've been trying to cap this early afternoon game and something tells me the Cubs win this game easily. I know Dempster (Dumpster as I've heard him called some on the forum) can be hit and Leake has pitched well against the Cubbies. But I'm getting this feeling that the Cubs roll in a 6 - 1 type game and therefore thinking of A-RL on cubbies. Am I crazy??

Opinions always appreciated and GL to all on your bets.

Nice start for the cubs. That first inning was huge for momentum shift. Dempster strands the bases loaded and then cubbies roll for 2 early. Nice to see dempster follow it with a 3 up 3 down inning. I know baseball, so its still early; but have to like the start.

2 outs; nobody on board. then 2 outs for the pitcher and he drives in a run with a bloop single. Now a wild pitch brings in a run. Ugh. Cubbies better hold on and put up a few extra runs.

As for the late games, I'm really liking the Cardinals over Marlins. I know its Jake Westbrook, but Anibal Sanchez has been absolutley horrendous this season. He had a good stretch for a few games, but is back to pitching terrible. And getting a hot hitting Cardinals team at + money, I think there might be some value. Only thing that concerns me is that its a large public play, so I might stay away.

I'm also liking the Padres here. The Pirates just had a terrible series against the cubs and are reeling. Harang having pitched in the central knows the Pirates and has good success. But it is the Padres and they pretty much traded away there offense.

These are a couple leans. I'm thinking of some others but still working them out.

PS as i type this, the cubbies are about to blow the game and under. 4 - 3 with a runner on 2nd nobody out

Starlin is murdering that ball lately. He's a good young kid. Just need those "big" bats to drive him in more often. If it weren't for little tony C , the cubs would be shut out for the most part.

Sport GTI- Livin on a prayer for this under, but you never know. Nice, Stubbs just went down for 3rd out & Cubbies still holding on. Tonight I like St.L also as I think their hot bats & Westbrook not facing Ramirez or a recently hot Infante should help. A bit leery of Pitt at home, just feel like they may finally break out of their slide & as you stated the Pads O is just too weak & unreliable. Other leans include Mil-1.5, LAA-1.5(way too much juice on both for my liking), TB-1.5, TX to give Jiminez a rude intro to the AL & going to continue to ride the Phils w/ Worley as their bats should produce again against a just off the DL Sanchez & they've greatly increased my bankroll over their last 4 games. What do you think about Atl w/Hudson against Mets knuckleballer? Any O/U or +1.5RL look good to you for later? As I finish this its heading into top 9, 4-3 - lets go Cubbies!

Fightins - I don't have any O/U plays as I usually don't play totals. Never really had any success with them. As for the Mets/Braves game. I want to play the Braves (my team) but Hudson has struggled recently against the Mets. I remember his matchup earlier with mets and Dickey, and he was smacked around real early for 5 or 6 runs. For me, as much as I love my braves, it would have to be Mets or no play. I can't pay that juice with that in my memory.

As for some +1.5s, I see some value in the Nats. Jordan Zimmerman is a good pitcher and knows how to work a lineup. I can see that game being very close, especially with the Nats bullpen. I actually think the Nats could upset, but the +1.5 could be safer.

Good insights on Mets v. Braves- I agree & am going to stay away. I took Wash last night & like Zimmermann too-could be a good +1.5. And as I type it's a double win-a whole lot of luck came with that under-anyone who had the over has to be seriously pissed.
