Agree with jays. Cubs are crap, but their sweep of the Pirates was very impressive - especially against some form pitchers. I'd still fade Cubs 6/7 days of the week but tomorrow might be that 1 day I wouldn't.Comment -
I like the Reds here, but not huge.
Leake is a solid pitcher and frequently gives the Reds a Quality start. The Cubs have been on a streak and should come back down to the 'norm'.
With all that being said, I can't put anything significant on the Reds because they usually fail to give Leake any Run Support, the Reds have been inconsistent all year, and they have been underachieving. Add to that the Cubs are on a roll and Dempster has pitched well against the Reds this year and I can't put a lot on this game.
BTW, this is coming from a Reds Fan so take that as you will

Drew Stubbs just had the worst @bat I have seen all year for a major leaguer. He might have the 2nd, and 3rd worst @bats also.
He just watched Dumpster walk two guys in front of him, including the pitcher. So Stubbs swings @ the first two pitches of which both were balls. Then strikeout looking @ a fastball that splits the plate in half.
That was horrendous. And Stubbs is not a moron. He was the top graduate of his high school, and is an exceptional public speaker.
I have no monetary interest in this game, but that event annoyed me to the point of this rant. SighComment -
