Pros: Verlander has been great this month, posting a 2.63 ERA. He is facing Jeff Francis, who has been terrible this year. He is also a lefty, which benefits the Tiger's offense. Verlander has been dominant in interleague play this year, Francis has not.
Cons: I cannot think of any.
Phillies-Rangers Under 9.5 -105
Pros: An under with two high powered offenses seems unlikely to achieve. For one, the Phillies have struggled to hit lately. The Rangers have also come down a bit. Cole Hamels is pitching for the Phils, which automatically gives Texas few runs. Vicente Padilla, who has been a surprise this season, will try to limit the Philly offense. Expect a low scoring game here.
Cons: Both teams have high powered offenses. The Rangers bullpen is a concern.
