i was rooting for the pirates as much as anyone that doesn't live in that city knowing the whole time it was going to end. their pitching isn't very good. mahlom is probably the best pitcher and he is only a league average pitcher and walker isn't a good enough bat to be hitting 4th. i was surprised they made trades at the deadline. i suppose it was more of a nod to the fans more than anything.
