% chance of Padres scoring vs Roy Halladay??
If not for the heat in Philly, 100 degrees @gametime, I would say Halladay would be in line for one of his classic CG shutouts. Nevertheless, heat will be a factor. Though its the Padres... Doc struck out 14 batters, a career high, earlier this the season @Petco. Halladay should cruise, and Tim Stauffer/Padres bully will give up 4 or 5 runs.

    I see a 5-1 game. With that I'm playing under 7.

any chance we see a repeat of the Yanks game today? Phils offense put up 8 today, maybe they come out cold tomorrow and Stauffer pulls a Rich Harden??

Pretty sure Halladay has only pitched against the Padres like 3 times in his career. I know that the last 2 times he has pitched against them, he has come out on top.

The ump is 14-3 to the Under. Hard enough to hit Doc as it is. Good luck to this Pads offense trying to hit him with an expanded zone. Halladay had this ump back in April. He went complete game.

I think the Padres probably do score against Halladay.

Is anyone else a little worried about how Halladay does against the Padres after having to be removed early from his last start? I am always cautious when a pitcher is coming back from an injury or had to be removed from his last start for whatever reason.

Even mlb.com is not sure: "Halladay left Monday's start against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in the fifth inning because of heat exhaustion. He said he should be ready to go Sunday against the Padres, but it will be interesting to see if he has fully bounced back."

Halladay apparently can't withstand the heat.

Halladay's mojo is bad tomorrow, if you believe that stuff, but I can't go against the Doc. He's been $$ all season and he lost his last game, so I may not chase because of the juice, but I'll put my regular units on tomorrow's game.

If Halladay chokes I think the pen and bats will bail him out. Hard to see them lose against the Pads, even with Stauffer, who had a great last game versus the Marlins.

I'm not going to be betting the RL or ML for this game on the Phils, because I really like Stauffer. Looking into the under tho and not too worried about Stauffer, but Halladay presents a problem in the heat.

I haven't checked but it seems like there have been a lot of overs on some of the lower totals lately. Maybe the balls fly a little more in this extreme heat???

                                  Well stauffer is awful.

I think its just too hot in Philly. Every hit seems like its for XB's
