it seems YOU are the very kind of fan that you bitch about.

yAnks will offer him a tub of money... and Captain Crunch.
but if they resign him, he will zap all their FA money... (yanks need help. BAD)

he might leave... CC likes to win.. he can 'C' the writing on the wall..

he does not need 3-4 more years of this BS.

Rivera, Jeter, Arod.. all signed on for next year,.. and beyond..

I am a PHILLY (last point)
Touche. I guess some of that good old fashioned Red Sox mentality rubbed off on me while in NH.

That's good for you that you're a Phillies fan. You can feel good about your team buying the National League pennant this season.

So Theo having $40 million less to spend means that he's a great GM? Come on, now you're being ridiculous. This is the same guy that spent $100 million on Daisuke, gave J.D. Drew a $70 million contract over five years, gave seven years and $142 million to a guy whose game is built on speed and is 30 years old already, gave John Lackey a 5 year, $82.5 million contract, gave Josh Beckett a four year, $68 million extension, ad nauseum. You're actually saying Theo is a good GM and Cashman is not?

look. the only reason i developed a dislike for yankee fans.. is listening to them rant (i live in NYC)
how they were going to buy up this guy.. then that guy... as if this option was available for all other teams..

i despise monopolies.. and class distinction due to income and money.

Yanks heve MANY more fans than Mets do because all the yank money has yielded many more opportunities for fans to experience the high of winning...

I know exactly what you mean. I actually was really rooting for the Pirates to do well. I would love to see the Brewers make the World Series just because it's something different. My favorite part about the last three and a half seasons is that the Yankee team payroll has actually decreased, and they're letting other teams catch up in their spending. Red Sox and Phillies fans can no longer bitch about the Yankees buying World Series titles.

i never said that... i am simply saying that Cashman is not the best... he has the most money. period.

NYC has much more to offer the wives than other cities. NYC is the cultural center of the USA in so far what can be done and seen socially.. for anyone who loves the celeb circuit.. NY and LA is it..

Red Sox/Phillies would be a very interesting series. It would really be a demonstration of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object with the Red Sox hitting against the Phillies' pitching. The Phillies can't hit their way out of a paper bag, and the Red Sox pitching is garbage after Lester, but the other match-up would be fantastic.

                          Old, yes.

Posada is washed up, Jeter's got life yet, Rodriquez hurt, but not washed up.
Tex is in his prime, Cano is reaching his prime, Gardner just getting started.

CC is only 32, Mo is 42 but even after two brainfarts, is still the best there ever was.

LOOK. i don't care what anybody says.

the RAYS got like.. 15-20 calls that swung this game their way.

Sabathia was dominant. and the UMP called everything BALLS.. so
he had to put them right over the plate just to have a chance to get a Strike..

impossible to throw 5 SOLO HRs otherwise.

CC in great shape.. ready to slay all comers in playoffs

and anybody who thinks the yAnks aren't winning it all is a wuss.

and by 'wuss' i mean anyone who is not a yAnkie fan.

                                      this game was OBVIOUSLY fixed.

i think someone put Valium in CC's Captain Crunch..
                                      prolly seeing double whole game.

it's a miracle that he even pitched at all.

When was the last time teixera hit a homerun off a good pitcher? The answer to that question is "texeira has a tight little pussy." Case closed folks.
In re-reading this, I think it's fantastic that the Yankees are apparently washed up, yet a younger Red Sox team are only 4-13 in September as of right now.

I have a question, how tight is your pussy?

Careful with the guarantees. If the Yanks win the division, which is not a lock but is a pretty decent chance, then they play the Rangers, against whom they're 7-2 this season. It seems also that they just hit Felix pretty well. The only team who seemingly could beat them is the Tigers, as they're the only team in the AL who has decent pitching anyway. Not that any of this will matter. The Phillies bought themselves the World Series at the beginning of the season.

They are the only team in the AL who has even a decent pitching staff. Nobody in the AL has bought a staff like the Phillies have. They've paid good money for that NL title and probably the WS title. Money well spent by them, a nice championship purchased.

They've gone and bought themselves a nice little WS title. At least Phillies fans can't complain about the Yankees spending money anymore.
