#37being called a joker by a idiot doesnt really hurt my feelings. the fact that you consider road era a good indicator on how to evaluate a pitcher says it all. Come talk to me after Greinke (who i hate) goes 7 strong with less than 2 earned and at least 7 ks.
Do some research and you'll know why taking Zack on the road ain't a "good buy"
I'm sure you knew ALL about that already though, right?Comment -

#38Originally posted by WolfpackChuckOh awesome! BigDan KNEW for a fact Tommy Hanson would give up 6 runs in 6 innings! Sure do wish you'd have posted that.
I guess that doesn't matter anyway since the Bravos put up 9 runs.
i did have a thread with col as a pick and mentioned how Hanson would not be good in Coors, also had sd ml and rl and tex/laa un 6.5 and let ppl know that i wouldnt be around but if they could get on neither to score 3 at +450 ish that was a strong bet, much like i said with lad/sf yesterday. like i said not my fault your dumb ass looks in the wrong places and flocked to the ppl closest to your mental abilities.Comment -

#39i'll tell ya what, from here on out (at least in this thread) can we all at least be grown up enough to drop the name calling. I'm guilty of it too, but it truly is pointless.
I'd rather discuss the percentage of posters on this site that you think actually have a clue about the subject that they are posting about? 2% 5%?
Were any posters that have posted in this thread aware (honestly) of Greinke's social anxiety issues which are worse while pitching on the road? If not, do you still want to bet your $100 (or whatever, high rollers) on the Brew Crew? Does it make any difference at all to you?Comment -

#40Originally posted by WolfpackChuckOk, this will sound harsh, but I'm going to make a thread about this anyway. So this is my first day really posting on here and reading this forum. So far it seems like the majority of the posters (at least in the Baseball Handicapping section) HAVE NOT done any kind of research or have any pertinent information regarding the topics and subjects they're posting about?
Do I really have clowns to the left of me and jokers to the right in this forum, or are there any serious informed cappers on here? In other words, am I wasting my time?Comment -

#41i haven't read through this entire thread yet - save it for later - but you signed up here and posted dozens of times the first day that you heard of the site (which is pretty well-known)? the standard non-ghost arc involves at least a little lurking and butt sniffing.
for my part, i'll say that i make plays based upon numbers, and write-ups lead to endless questions. if i post AZ/MIL over, and someone says they like it because Greinke's starts have all gone over and someone else says that it makes no sense because Greinke's xFIP is so much lower than his ERA, i'll answer the comment, but posting long write-ups is opening yourself to time-consuming cross examination when you're more interested in discussion. some guys are good at write-ups, some guys feel they're not a good use of time. a lot of guys are looking to make some informed wagers, not join the debate club.Comment -

#42Originally posted by italianbanditI think this is a good forum. I would say 85% inexperienced players and 15% experienced. It will take about a month before you find the threads and posters that you like. Once you are in mature threads you'll find you can post comments without idiots being idiots. In these threads you will get how someone thinks from previous write-ups and can determine their emotional stability and you'll be comfortable just getting which side they are leaning on. That being said based on your posts on this thread, I think you are impatient, poor at looking at data and are clueless on how to make new friends.Comment -

#44im well aware of Greinke's social anxiety however im not sure why he cant just pop a zanny and chill...
personally i call BS on it effecting how he pitches on the road as it a hard sell trying to relate the 2 imho (coming from someone with plenty of "disorders")

#51Originally posted by BigDanoh shit "wins", that about as important as era.keep throwing darts with your pitcher w/l records and road era's, hopefully they all work out for you like believing Hanson would be strong today did. If you making money like this then most the "morons" you speak of would be rich right along with you.

#53now you have resorted to Blasphemy in this thread? questioning "god"? how dare you? its fukkin god man!!!!!!!!!!!!
think the G man has a point on this game, i just dont see what there is to like in d-bags tonight. i mean is Greinke's overblown road numbers the only reason? cause if you throw out a start in nyy where he has always struggled and one in Wrigley where even the best have struggled before i dont see what the issue is. hell if anything in the desert under the roof should make crew and Greinke feel right at home. What about the effect it could have on d-bags emotionally losing a key piece for the season? or that Kennedy is prime to get lit up by a good offense imho.Comment -
