Hey guys, got a quick question and would like people's input on the matter.

My spreadsheet takes into account a team's last 3 games (hitting), what do you think would be a more reliable number:

A teams last 3 games hitting (which could have outliers) or a teams last 7 games hitting?

Trying to make improvements, I think I'm leaning towards take the teams last 7 games because I believe that is a better determining factor and a more realistic number to go off of compared to a team's last 3 games (to say if the team played a shitty team in a 3 game set and blew them out, their numbers would be jacked up in my spreadsheet i.e. SD, who are hitting against the met's as well).

Sorry, but yesterday's spreadsheet plays (they started out good, just didn't hold on....), paying more attention to my Chase Plays.

I think that you're on to something with the spread sheet plays as well as the chase plays. I mean, if you look solely at the ** plays, these are hitting over 70 %, by my calculations (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). And, that's phenomenal. So, I hope that you don't forget totally about them.

As far as illuminating outliers, I think that you're right and that going back 7 games will definitely give you a more accurate number, but you never really know until you try. So, I think it's worth a shot.

But I would say that normally games 1 and 2 are very profitable (series normally end there, except for a few)

Kind of....

What I do now is run the spreadsheet through each series set (3 or 4 games), and I then pick the teams to chase only if the spreadsheet says they should sweep their opponents (in a 4 game set, the team has to win 3 games in order to chase them)

So the teams I chase are the ones my spreadsheet likes
