Thoughts about A's vs. Rangers today?

What does everyone think about this game? What is the best bet for it?
Personally I'm on the under because I thought the line would be lower than 8.5 with two all star pitchers pitching.

Crazy jet stream to right center field is the "wind tunnel" i believe. If wind is blowing out to right center, i would definitely stay away from under.

When the wind is blowing South, which is towards the 3rd base line, it circulates and shoots out down the 1st base line.

That is why teams have been scoring double digits in Texas. The total goes over more often than not.

IMO I think the oddmakers should wait until the morning of the game to release the total, in order to see the wind conditions.

Actually its when the wind is blowing South, which IN towards thw 3rd base line.

It sounds counterintuitive, but it creates the circulation that shoots thw wind down the 1stbase line.

Ok so then when you bet on an under play what do you look for?
The pitchers make up a big part of why a game is high or low scoring, it's a big factor in the game

I really don't care how lines work because I have been successful betting the under and winning. I look for starting pitchers and they play in like 80% of my decision of what games I bet the under in a day. The bottom line is that it works that way for me, so when I bet the under I am going to talk about the starting pitchers mostly.

Yeah well good news for the under is the A's offense is WEAK and Gio Gonzalez is a very good pitcher and even if Hamilton does play he may struggle vs the tough lefty. Also the A's bullpen is very good.


Looking at this A's roster they have a very good starting staff and a good group of relief pitchers but it's almost like they purposely didn't go after signing any good hitters.
