I've never understood why the Corked Bat episode never took on more prominence than it did. People complain he cheated with the steroids but it's never totally been proven, however the cork was there for all to see. And i'm pretty sure i'm not buying that it was his ONLY time he ever did it as he claimed.

He uses corked bats during batting practice to give the fans a thrill. He accidentally grabbed the wrong bat when he went to bat during the actual game.

You guys missed that episode of Mythbusters? They proved that a cork bat does nothing for distance but rather hurts it. Odd thing about that show if I remember is that the MLB specifically asked them not to show how to cork a bat. Take that for what it's worth.
