I don't know if I could ask for a better spot than to find a guy dead last in baseball in xFIP and seeing people talk about how good he's been pitching. aside from the fact that its clear liriano has fixed whatever was wrong with him at the start of the season and is back to elite status and he's still sporting that 4+ ERA so most don't realize it

they understand quite well its the market that doesn't. it's also almost a certainty that they are using liriano's april/may in their projections and its pretty clear that those can be thrown out at this point. I think fair price was probably 130-135, it was bid up to 130 early on actually

well for one thing their lineup looks exactly the same as every other day aside from Mauer who has been garbage at this point. their lineup is anemic, it's among the worst in baseball. but in order for you take a position betting against them based on their lineup or their inability to score runs, you'd have to find evidence that the market is somehow overpricing their offense. betting profitably isn't as simple as looking at an atrocious lineup and betting against it

try and think of angles that the market can possibly be overlooking or mispricing

that's right, greeny. should've just played that one, got carried away with the afternoon action. i heart Josh Collmenter. 4 baserunners in 6 innings. he has been under gold for a lot of the season. had a rough couple of outings and was working on his mechanics for this start, according to Dbacks crew on the game last night. seemed to work okay.

i agree with the under there. other than his last outing in Arlington, Sanchez has been solid. Eddings is an under ump, and last night's game was high-scoring. only thing that i don't like is that Kendrick's xFIP is high, but the Marlins aren't hitting well or scoring, so i'm not sure that they can exploit. BOL, greeny.

i like it okay, but not a ton. also, i took under first two games of that series and lost both, so i was kind of sour on that game from the start, felt like i wasn't reading the match-ups correctly. i honestly can't imagine those two teams playing to three straight overs, but i've already been wrong twice.
