Why is Verlander so low and C.C so high?

I am a little surprised my self that Verlander is not a heavy favorite in this match up. It is starting to cause me to doubt my self. I know the Tigers bats have been a bit sluggish lately but based on this pitching matchup alone I don't know how anyone would rather put their money on Haren.


Under 6??? I am confident Verlander will do his part but I don't know if I should take the Angels TT under 3 ..... I can see the Tigers lighting up Haren if he is not on... Tigers bats are very talented but un reliable

Lines aren't just based on the pitchers alone. Look at the opponents, CC and the Yankees going up against the Indians and Verlander and the Tigers against the Angels.

They are both leading the league in wins but there is a 40-50 cent differential from each other? Cleveland has just as good of a home record as LAA. The pitching matchups are not that drastic either.

I just looked at the odds for the game and neither team is worth betting on. Sometimes it is best to skip a game when you have no edge. When the books have to pay a premium to get people to bet on a team in a good situation, that is a good bet. For the game in question, you may as well flip a coin for even money.

When are some people gonna realize that not every game presents an opportunity to make money?

I'm very surprised to see Verlander that low as well.. looks like a trap.. Tigers hitting>Angels hitting... and even though Haren is very good, he isn't as consistent as Verlander.

I like DET to win easy for -120 or so.

LA can hit the ball, but they don't have enough hitters in the lineup to score runs. Meaningless hits are just that, meaningless.

You may be surprised to learn the CLE actually has more runs scored in June than LAA. LAA scored a pathetic 87 runs in June (only 3 teams scored less) in comparison to DET with who scored 144 3rd in the league.

Haren has a WHIP of 1.27 his last 3 so he can and will put people on DET wins 4-1

Haren is a complete stud, he's at least as good as Verlander maybe slightly better because of the cutter and -110 away is a pretty decent sized favorite

Verlander is low because he's facing Haren. I'm not sure why CC is so high. I think both home teams win.

At first glance I thought the line was a little low myself, but if you look at the LAA lineup, some of their hitter are actually hitting Verlander pretty decent. As hot as Verlander is, I can't go against him, instead took the U6.
