Ok boys,
Toronto/Boston & Astros/Pirates. I have strong leans to take Toronto & Pitt. Let's start up front with the game Toronto/Boston. Taking Boston at home is usually a smart play. Lackey blows, dude is about as worthless as Happ for the Astros. But Morrow isn't exactly a great pitcher either.
My reason for liking Toronto, is Boston has to fly coast to coast late night for an early game after a long stretch on the road. Also I don't expect either team to play their hearts out as it's early & they will be day dreaming of the fourth parties they are going to.
Onto game 2: The Astro's have been struggling hard the whole year much less on the road. They are in general perfect fade material. The Pirates bats have been on fire lately, add to the fact that they are at home and once again like Boston; Houston had to make a cross country flight late night to play on the road early. -140 is a bit high for juice but it seems a solid play.
I didn't ask the other game because it seems pretty much an easy win for Washington. The Cubs do tend to surprise people but with that ERA for a pitcher, a road trip etc I think they phone it in. Since I imagine Washington will open around -170 or higher I'd rather not lay the juice.
What are you thoughts?
