Earned run averages mean crap for closers that pitch one inning.
Bottom line is he's not an elite closer, I can name six closers right now I'd rather have.
Wilson rarely has a 1-2-3 inning.

This one goes on the giants lineup. When you get 5 hits in a game and can't take advantage of innings like the first where they had 2 on and no out... it's a fail. Great pitching team but they can't hit for shit... oh and can't forget bases loaded 1 out in the 11th and they can't even get a guy home. Beard blew it, but scoring 1 run with those chances is a fukkin fail

Timely hitting, winning 70% of their one-run games, and oh yea that World Series run.

I love this team, b/c they don't beat themselves. And they never complain or make excuses.

That was their GM, and Poseys Agent. Which was totally understandable, since Poseys is a young player with the potential to be the franchise headliner. They overreacted, yes, but they were angry that their best player is done for the season.

Giants play three AAA players @ SS, 2B, and C. This is sometimes all @ once and they expect to win, and continue to do so. I can respect a team that plays to their strength, and doesn't try to be something they are not.

That game was Giants getting lucky. They score 4 runs, which is a lot for them.

Something that people should realize is that not only is the starting pitcher on the road, but so is bullpen. Beard has choked in consecutive road games. I don't think it happens @ home.
