Winston Smith off the top of my head has a good offensive team. Pitchers arent bad either.Comment -

#5Winston has the best team, imo. The auto-drafting by Yahoo kinda cost me some players I had on my list and also forced me to take players early, because I didn't trust Yahoo to draft them for me (and as I can see, for good reason).Comment -

Pujols is obviously great, but I'm not willing to part with any pieces to get him.
Besides, I've made some offers to other teams for Nomar already.Comment -

#14Originally posted by presley177I've been meaning to ask you...WHY did you take Granderson SO EARLY!?
You could've had him so much later.I didn't want to take Duke or Granderson that early, but the draft was moving painfully slow and I knew I would end up with players I didn't want.

#30Originally posted by presley177you really are banking on a lot of rookies
First and foremost, I saw a post at the Yahoo! site that was something about the draft time changing. What was that about? I never changed the draft time from the day I signed the league up.
Secondly, I'm pleased with the team that my stand-in GM put together. A few picks I wouldn't have made, and a few that I'm glad he made for me. Bottom line, the only real difference if I had been there would be taking 11 pitchers instead of just 10. So if anyone wants to offer up a second line pitcher for one of my equally second line hitters, bring it on.
Also had a question from Owned in my PM box this morning about trades. Once a trade has been ACCEPTED by both teams, I should get an e-mail and the trade should then be visible. The only trade that I see that has been dually agreed upon so far is between the GV Dodgers (R.Weeks) and Presley's Killahs (R.Dempster).
Everyone should be able to see these trades at their MY TEAM page. Click on details to view specific players involved. Every team has the power to vote NO on the trade and if you do vote NO, it will send an e-mail to me that such-&-such team voted NO. If I get five (5) or more NO's (50% of league not involved in trade), I will reject it without question. Any trade that involves my team, onlooker will act as commish; any deal between myself and onlooker, Illusion will act as commish if that sounds ok with all of you.
I will do my best to post every pending trade as soon as possible in some 'Fantasy Bases Pending Trades' thread here in this Forum. I will also post any updates and other info crucial to the league at both the Yahoo! site and here in the Bases Forum.
Best of luck to everyone........should be a real gas!Comment -

#32My team. Not sure why it is not getting much love considering this is kinda like a H2H roto league.
C- Jeff Mathis. starter for angels. showing great stats spring training.
1- Adam Dunn. Obviously drafted him mid rounds for his homers.
2- R. Cano. A yankee and is pretty good.
3-C. Figgins. Steals(62) and runs.
SS-Tejada. well duh he does it all in a shallow position.
OF-Francoeur. he was great last year and will be awesome this year. lights out in spring training
OF-B. Giles. Tailing down but got him in later rounds and he is still good all around.
OF-Dye. Got him for homers. Had 31 last season
U-Dellucci. homers once again. Had 29 last season.
Bench:
Sweeney. Is great when healthy. A big if.
E. Encarnacion. Have a fantastic spring. got very late to see if it carries over.
Delmon Young. In minors but drafted for 2nd half run. Will be lights out.
R. Adams. Underrated SS having a nice spring training. Gives me tradebait in tejada.
Matos. Having great spring training. Big power numbers so far.
Gibbons. Last pick of draft. Can show power at times.
Pitching:
F. Cordero. Saves
F. Rodriguez. Saves
T. Jones. Saves
C. Carpenter. Need I say more. Wins, ERA, WHIP, Ks
Smoltz. Was awesome last year and just added to more pitches. Near unhittable spring training.
J. Lackey. Improved throughout the year. Puts up monster strikeouts.
Bedard. Great 1st half but got injured and not so great 2nd half. We all know who Balt just hired as pitching coach.
Oliver Perez. Strikeout master but was hurt much of last year. Got him late in a steal.
Byrd. Having nice spring training.
Duchscherer. Striking out everyone in spring training. good for ERA and Whip and if street goes down will be great 4th closer.
Only 1 pitcher was over 4 ERA last year and that was Perez who was hurt. I have 122 saves between my main 3 closers. Figgins will be a stealing machine but could use one more good base thief. Always up for trades.Comment -
