thanks. you definitely are not the first person to ask that. i've always shied away from season-long threads and done daily threads instead because i'm not looking for attention and it seems like the season-long threads lend themselves to controversy/drama. that said, given that i get this question every few days, maybe it's time to start a season-long thread since people seem to find that to be easier....Comment -

thanks for the well wishes, fellas. although it was a shit day on the bases, i got out of my walking boot a couple of days ago (had been in it 3 1/2 months) and played golf this afternoon, so as odd as it sounds, i was very happy about today (well, other than the shitty picks).Comment -

glad to here it brother, cant say i share your (or any of my friends) enthusiasm for golf , only sport i ever really tried hard at for a extended period (went all out one summer, driving range every day played a ton) and just couldnt improve fast enough to satisfy me, like the sport but do not like not being able to get good at something quickly or at least feel like im getting closer instead of seriously frustrated, like burring putters in greens and breaking clubs frustrated!! Worst part about the green (had no idea they were so soft at 1st! learned fast) is putting is actually the one thing i am solid at.

i hear you. i am not a good golfer, but i'm decent and i love to play. started playing a lot a couple of years ago now that it's becoming clear that my days of playing are numbered. golf and sports gambling are probably the only two things that i find consistently interesting. only reason i took up baseball capping this spring was because i was stuck in that boot and couldn't play golf. rained a lot today, course was in shitty shape because of it, and it still was a blast.
