Interleague Play - Why is it important?
    All,

I've got an honest question from an admitted noob - why does interleague play make a difference in how games are played? From what I can gather, it could be because the pitchers in AL teams now have to bat when they visit an NL league park and the NL teams can now have DHs. I guess that there could be something to be said for unfamiliarity with the batters/pitchers you are facing too. But why would any of that play into how the games are bet? Pitchers are throwing whatever stuff they have at a guy, batters are trying to hit any ball thrown at them....so what is the difference? The same thing applies in normal play.

I guess I just don't get why people make a big deal out of interleague play (aside from the Traditional/Non-Traditional aspect of it) and I'm not sure how to bet taking that into consideration.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.
