    Sunday's Value Plays
I lost both of my games yesterday. But I am focusing on the future and not dwelling on my losses.

    For today:
Red Sox RL +140: I like the run line here because I just don't think the Seattle team has what it takes to beat the Red Sox at home unless they are facing an old gas can like Bartolo Colon. Masterson has been solid thus far and has shut down much better teams such as Tampa Bay and the Angels. Bedard, on the other hand, has been very distracted and doesn't have the same passion for baseball as he once did. I believe he loves hockey since he is Canadian. Bedard's away record this season is 1-2 with an 8.85 ERA. The Red Sox also hit about .300 versus lefties and they are dominant at home.

Angels +131: Ervin Santana has been a surprisingly solid pitcher this year. While his numbers have been returning to normal, he is very dominant against the A's in his career. Since the A's are essentially the same team as they were the past few years, this statistic is meaningful. Santana is 7-1 with a 1.38 ERA versus the A's. He is also 3-0 with a 1.57 ERA at McAfee Coliseum in his career. I do realize that Harden has been dominant. But if both are dominant this game, it will most likely come down to offensive production, which the Angels will clearly beat them in.
