Sunday BJ Ryan burns me....then he does it again today. Every ****ing night it is one bad beat after another. This stuff is just sickening to watch.
On an 0-2 pitch no less.

This one hurt a lot. Got the first 2 outs in the 9th, was looking like an easy save. Then it all falls apart. Even more painful considering how many opportunites the Jays had to put the game away, particularly the top of the 9th. Brutal.

No complaints here, I've been screwed enough in games like these, good to finally come out on top of one.

If they field A-Rods grounder it never comes to that. Oops.

to begin with that ground ball by Rodriguez should have been fielded and he should have been throw out. Then the ****ing CF is playing on the warning track basically for Matsui. The on an 0-2 pitch he slams it out after looking silly the first 2 pitches swinging against Ryan. Ryan throws it right down the middle too for him to swing at...instead of working it outside. What a total clown.
Ryan hurt me on Sunday too. I am averaging like 0.7 blown saves a day in my MLB betting this year it seems. Not a day goes by where a bullpen doesn't cost me or a closer comes in and delivers this type of performance.
Someone needs to do some historical analysis and see whether this year is the year of the blown save.

Jay backers, don't feel so bad, I lost last Wednesday with the Royals up 5 with 2 outs at home by the way. Definetly sucks to lose like that. Avoid the temptation to chase today after something like that.

Thought about including a bullpen filter? Play on team must have better BP than play against team. Can avoid a lot of late surprises.
Thanks DH. But really BJR is suppose to be one of the top closers in the league. TOR has the 2nd best bullpen too. Just very very irrate right now.

Honestly, that is the game of baseball. Part of the reason why it is so exciting is because of the unpredictability. Fading strong home teams is a tough practice. Even weaker home teams such as the nationals get walk off wins. It's not like you chose a team with a bad bullpen, you chose the top bullpen in the majors. They may convert 99% of save opportunities, but this occasion fell within that 1%.

Thank you DH, that stats page is useful. BTW, no comments on Dick Bavetta and Eddie Rush in the NBA forum?

Normally I don't even get emotional watching these games, but this was the game that broke the straw on the camal's back I guess. It's just irritating night in and night out to see this type of performance with the team's I back. I haven't been on the other side on many of these games this year. I am just irriated, that's all......

I mean every ****ing day it's like this Ryan where the home teams are destroying me. This is hard to fathom. So far, not counting the NYM/SD & CHC/LAD game, home teams are 8-2. It's unbelievable to think that home teams are getting close to hitting at 60%.
Of course the two home teams that lose today, I bet. That's just the way it goes.

I have felt the same way lately BB...it isn't just the crap pens either. I got lucky on a couple blown saves today but over the last week I have lost at least 6 games with a team who led the whole game and blew it in the 8th or 9th with a top 5 bullpen. Gets really frustrating when it happens night in and night out.

Add Takashi Saito to the list of useless closers that are costing me today.....
